How do I make the toys work on the Splash Pad?
- Find the RED Bollard with a black top, place your hand on the top of the bollard for 3 seconds, this will activate the controller and turn the system on.
Can I tap or hit the Red Bollard with my hand?
- It is best to place your hand on top of the red bollard for 3 seconds or longer to allow the pressure senor to activate the controller.
Who do we call if the Splash Pad does not turn on?
Why does the Splash Pad shut off so frequently in hot weather?
- Make-up water does not refill the storage tank fast enough and the system goes into FAIL SAFE MODE to protect the pumps
Why does it go into FAIL SAFE MODE?
- Bather load
- Improper swimwear
- Toys carrying water off the splash pad
- Wind and sun evaporate the water during periods of hot weather
What is the bather load limits?
- No more than 100 people at one time.
Why can’t I wear regular street clothes?
- Proper swimwear sheds the water, allowing the water to stay on the pad and be recycled through the filters. Regular street clothes absorb the water, taking the water away from the splash pad.
Why does taking water off the Splash Pad matter?
- Taking water off the splash pad reduces the amount of water that the system needs to operate properly. When the water falls below safe limits the system goes into FAIL SAFE MODE to protect the pumps.
- How long does it take to refill the water supply tank?
- Depending on the amount of water loss it could be 45 minutes or longer.
- Will the Splash Pad restart by itself once the water supply tank is filled to proper levels?
- No, the system is in FAIL SAFE MODE and needs to be reset by maintenance.
- What else can cause the system to go into FAIL SAFE MODE?
- The floor baskets on the pad itself become plugged, which restricts water from reaching the pumps. The system shuts down to protect the pumps from damage.
- Why do the floor baskets get plugged?
- Paper wrappers from water bottles and cups; broken pieces of plastic toys brought to the Splash Pad, grass and other debris block the drains that take the water to the pumps.
- Is there something we can watch for, to alert maintenance of a possible problem?
- YES, if there is STANDING WATER ON THE SPLASH PAD THERE IS A PROBLEM – call for maintenance immediately.
- What else can cause standing water on the Splash Pad?
- Children sit on the floor drains to attempt to make a pool of water. This is very dangerous for the children and can cause serious injury. IF YOU SEE THIS HAPPENING PLEASE STOP IT IMMEDIATELY.
- How often are the baskets cleaned?
- There is a regular maintenance cycle that is set up to maintain the Splash Pad System. Normal schedules are twice a day. Heavy use will move this up to four or more a day.
- Is there anything else that will turn the Splash Pad off?
- Yes, if the water becomes chemically imbalanced the system will shut down until the system rebalances itself. This could take up to 30 minutes depending on the chemical needs.
- Will the Splash Pad restart, or do we need to call maintenance?
- After the chemicals are properly balanced the system will allow the Splash Pad to turn on by placing your hand on the bollard for 3 seconds.
