The Streamwood Park District offers art programs that call upon the imagination of every child. We have designed our programs to let the young artist dictate what they want to create, while teaching proper skill and technique.

Parents, get your young artist out of
the house and into this fun new class!
We’ll have fun with handprints,
finger-paints, dot art, stamps, and
more!
Children will learn about
colors and textures, while creating
beautiful works of art.

Color Me Happy
This class will take the ever
popular pastime of coloring books
and crayons and turn it into a fun
filled art class.
Children will choose
their theme coloring pages, learn
about lines and color mixing, and
create their own personalized
coloring book.

Picture This
This fun filled photography class will
allow students to use their favorite
photos and recapture memories
using chalk, paint and pastels.
Students will have the opportunity to
take their own pictures and learn
about lighting, cameras and finding
the focal point of a photo.

Drawing Dynamos Ages 5 – 10 Yrs.
Monday 5:30 – 6:30 8/8-8/29
This class will cultivate your little artist’s talent and allow them to express themselves in pencil, marker, chalk and other mediums of design. Participants will learn a bit about shading, lines and shapes and design their own still life to capture. |
It’s All About Me
Ever wonder if you could draw
yourself? Or your favorite rock star,
cartoon character, actor/actress,
animal, or place? This class will
allow students to take the things,
people and places they love and
create them using paint, clay, chalk,
drawing materials, and more.

Mosaic Masterpieces
Using pre-cut mosaic pieces, we
will create handprints, stepping
stones, bowls, plates, and more.
Participants will learn about clay,
color and the unique fun behind
mosaic art!
